Bounce House

We went to a place called Zone 1 that has bounce houses. They had fun bouncing and it was great because there were not a lot of big kids. Another great place to go to sometimes. Matty and Lexi had fun for more than 40 minutes!

Gilcrease Orchard

Matty loves his green pumpkin!
Aren't we cute with our pumpkins!

We went to Gilcrease Orchard, which is only about 5 minutes from our house, to pick pumpkins. Matty and Lexi had fun running around in the field and were excited to get their pumpkins for about 5 minutes. Then they decided they just wanted to run around. We got some fresh apple cider and they loved it and couldn't get enough! It was a fun time. We look forward to going back to pick apples when they are a bit older.

Our Fish Tank

Matty and Lexi love their Fish tank that Grandpa Lanny and Grandma Elaine got them! They love to watch the fish swim around and around and keep saying "a fish". Grandpa Lanny even brought over some red fish and Mommy's request for Matty and Lexi to have Elmo fish. They are so cute when they say "Elmo fishhhhh". I thought this was the perfect picture becaus Matty just put his arm around Lexi as they were watching the fish. I love when they are so sweet to one another!

It was inevitable!

Last night I woke up to crying at 12am and I thought Matty was just trying to fll back asleep so I let him cry for a few minutes. He was not giving up so I went to check on him and he was sitting on the floor (OUTSIDE OF HIS CRIB) and crying. I picked him up and he has all of his teeth and seemed okay, I think he climbed over based on how he was sitting. We knew this day would come, but were starting to wonder? Luckily he stayed in his room, I think he was shocked. We went downstairs until about a 15 minutes to 2am. I tried to put him back in his room...but that did not go over well, and since the last thing I needed was Lexi waking up...I let him come into my bed. He finally fell asleep and slept a whol 2 3/4 more hours until 4:50am- Yeah! Yes I am tired! I am proud of Lexi though, she took a 3 hour nap yesterday and then slept until almost 8am! Good Girl!!!!
Now the new question is crib? or bed?????? (I wish I could spell oy veigh)

Daddy's Idea of snack time

When I walked into the house I noticed Matty and Lexi on the floor with fruit and was in shock. Jeff said Lexi took the fruit out . Well in all fairness what that meant in daddy language was that she whined when he opened the fridge and she reached for it. Notice the lack of plates, bibs, chairs, etc. I must say they were extremely pleased with daddy for letting them dig in and quite comfy. Dads...isn't it amazing what they get away with and how simple they seem to make everything

Ballonapalooza Meltdown

Well what to say...we attempted to go to Balloonapalooza a fair in North Las Vegas this year again. Last year the kids enjoyed it so we thought , hey it will be better this year now that they are older. WRONG...we didn't account for Lexi's meltdowns. She just was not having anything about the day. Usually they want to get out of their strollers, so in preparation for our San Francisco trip next month, we use backbacks that I received as presents instead, oh they were not impressed. Lexi and Matty both wanted to be held, and they are no longer little ones, so in the heat that was rough. The whole fair seemed blah.. not toomuch for them to do or go on, not like last year. Anyway we paid our $5 parking and I think we were there less than an hour. Oh well sometimes with kids you have to know when to just say okay let's go! Hopefully it will be better next year and we shall try again.

Simple Pleasures

I decided to give the kids a fruit roll up for them to try as an after school snack. I had no idea how much fun and enjoyment they would get out of it. They giggled the whole way home. Check out Matty's funny face. 2 fruit roll ups $0.75, 2 drinks, $1.50, endless giggles and a nice car ride home from school PRICELESS. These are the moments I love, the simple unexpected pure joys.
