Making Valentines

Matty and Lexi love doing crafts these days! They especially love working with glue. They made valentines for their teachers and family. They were so cute calling out the colors as they used them.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

2 1/2 years old

Well we went to Sears for our 2 1/2 year pics. Matty and Lexi enjoed the animals but as usual were more interested in playing then taking the pictures. Overall they did a good job and the photographers were very patient. It is a shame mommy did not fix Lexi's hair better. Oh well!

no more pictures mommy

Matty and Lexi have decided that they did not want pictures taken this month. They have been passing colds and such back and forth this week. Lexi's fever even got up to 103.5 and Matty got strep...but we are on the road to recovery. Hopefully they will let me take some pictures tomorrow, since they will be 2 1/2 years old. Wow I cannot believe how fast it is going. They are talking so much and singing. They have the funniest phrases, and keep me smiling and laughing all day. Lexi loves to say "what's that" about everything. Matty has even gotten up at 5:30 every morning recently yeah! It is a start.

Nana's 90th birthday

Wow Nana is 90 years old today. Matty and Lexi adore her. Lexi even let me do her her for Nana. They were very excited to see everyone tonight at Maggiano's. I feel so lucky that Matty and Lexi are fortunate to spend so much time with their great-grandparents.

New Year's Eve

We spent the evening at home. Mommy, Matty and Lexi played all day and daddy even came home early from work around 3:30pm.
We had Chinese Food (doesn't everyone) and tried to make our noisemakers work. It was pretty uneventful but always fun none the less. Tonight reminds me how lucky we are to have such wonderful children. Happy New Year!

8th Night of Hanukkah

Yeah! The last night of Hanukkah is here! Auntie Suzy came over for dinner tonight and to spend time with Matty and Lexi. It was nice to have someone try and distract them from me while I was making dinner. After dinner we lit the menorah for the last time this year and opened our presents. Matty and Lexi love presents and get super excited for them. Tonight they opened some fingerpaint and a paint tablet. We all sat down for a night of fingerpainting fun. After we were done...Matty and Lexi chased each other around the house and burned off some energy. We thought we would get a nice amount of sleep from Matty, but unfortunately at 3 am he was up screaming for Mommy and he ended up spending the rest of the morning in our room- at least he slept a little more!

7th night of Hanukkah

We went to visit Matty and Lexi's Great-Grandparents after naptime. Lexi and Matty love their Nana and Papa so much! They loved all of the new things in their house and wanted to look at all the pictures. Every picture they had to stop and name off the people in them. It was super cute!

We went home to have dinner, light the menorah and open another night of gifts!

Matty and Lexi played with their new crayola wonder paint pens. I love this stuff- they have as much fun and NO clean-up- makes for an easy project so that we are not always making messes. I still love getting messy with them, but not all day, every day!
