Playing with the big kids

Matty and Lexi love playing with older kids. Our neighbors were outside and we decided to go out front as well. Matty and Lexi had a blast playing with the kids. They love being outdoors. They have so much energy that I am envious of them...they are like little energizer bunnies. Landon was helping Lexi to go on the big wheels, he is only 3 1/2 but he towers over the kids. They tried to go on skateboards too. Also it was not fun trying to convince them to come back inside,,,but after many tears we were on our way to the bath!. Look at Matty go...

Our Modest boy

Matty loves to be free. He has decided he no longer likes clothes and he takes them off. The funny thing is that he loves to put everything on his head. We were sitting and all of a sudden Matty put on the sunglasses. With the shorts on his head, it was too funny! We had to jump for the camera!

Stroller fun

Matty and Lexi love pushing each other around in their doll stroller, not too safe, but tell that to a two year old. Sometimes it is nice that they entertain themselves momentarily.

Cookie Time

Matty and Lexi love snack time,today was no exception, especially because daddy got them their snacks and that meant it was better cookies with peanut butter.

Lexi teaches Matty

Lexi loves drinking out of water bottles, however Matty just likes to pour the water on the floor. I asked Lexi to show Matty how to do it, and he said "ohhhhh" it was very cute!

Matty and Lexi had fun playing with Rio. She is the niece of Phil (one of Jeff's friends) they were so cute together.

The Things That Amuse Them...

Matty new favorite thing is to throw a helium balloon that I got from a student up into the fan. He loves to watch it go round and round. Unfortunately the air is out and he is bummed about it.

He also loves to take off his diaper and throw it in the diaper pail...Maybe he is telling me to hurry up and potty train him...

Grandpa Danny Visits

Grandpa Danny came to visit! Matty and Lexi had lots of fun playing with him. Unfortunately mommy waited too long to take a picture near bedtime.

Matty and Lexi's 2nd Birthday Party

Matty and Lexi had fun at their two birthday parties. We did a kid party in the morning, and a family and close friends party in the evening. It was a long day...but the kids seemed to enjoy themselves, so it was worth it. Click on view all images

We're 2!!!!

Wow I can't believe Matty and Lexi are two! It has been amazing watching them grow from babies into toddlers. They have such personality and are so different from one another. Who ever said twins were not a lot of work, has definitely not had them because some moments can be so trying...especially when they want the same thing (even though they both have their own) and they are screaming. It usually passes quickly and then Lexi and Matty say "Mommy..." and my heart melts. There is nothing cuter-to me at least. I have to remember this as we enter the terrible twos- well Lexi is already displaying those symptoms...hahaha. In any case I now know the true meaning of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!

Matty has a new fascination with Elmo- He loves everything Elmo, and of course he loves to read. Lexi loves striking a pose!
