Hot summer day!

The first thing that Matty and Lexi want when they come in the house from the hot sun are ice pops, at least Matty does. He goes to the fridge and puts his hand up and says "pop" "pop"... He devours them, and then usually finishes Lexi's as well.




Matty and Lexi are both able to drink out of real cups now, yeah!!!



Lexi has decided that she is not going to nap at school, so she wiped out on the couch before dinner for a quick snooze.

Matty Feeds Lexi

Matty decided that he wanted to wear Lexi's bib, and for a while she had on his. When all of her food was gone (she is a speed eater) Matty decided to share with her and feed her, but he also snuck some on his own.

Dancing Around

Lexi and Matty love to dance and spin! They are both really into trying to jump---sometimes they get off the floor, hahaha.

Playing outside

Our new turf is in our backyard, so there is more room to play. (Matty and Lexi had fun with their new sprinking fun pools. It was actually relatively cool in the morning only around 94 degrees so we played outside before mommy had to go to work
=( They were ecstatic to be outside, they played in the pools, went down the slides and even learned to swing on the regular swings it was a great morning.

Bubbles Galore

Matty and Lexi are totally into bubbles these days. They say bubbles all day long and grab for them. It was too hot outside, so we decided to do some bubbles on the carpet. Matty just kept giggling and saying more bubbles, and Lexi screemed bubbles, bubbles... It was a lot of fun, we even used our new bubble blower.

I can't believe it is here, the day that we had to bring Matty and Lexi to Creative Kids Learning Center. I was so glad that Jeff came with us today on their big day!It is a great place and they had a great day playing, but I was extremely sad. They were too cuute carrying their lunch boxes. I missed them all day and cried many tears....yup I am that mom, wow what will I do when they get to kindergarten? urghhh! On the way home they got their first happy meals, since they are all grown up!

Our 2nd time to the Circus

We went to the circus for the second time. Matty and Lexi enjoyed it much more this year, although the picture doesn't really show that. Guess Lexi is not big on clowns, who can blame her. They are scary looking.
Matty and Lexi found a new friend during intermission.

When we were leaving Matty and Lexi decided they wanted to hold hands and walk by themselves, with mommy and daddy closely behind.

Father's Day Slide Show!

We had a great father's day. Matty and Lexi really love being with their daddy. He is a great dad!

It was an early morning at the Maren's since Matty likes to get up at 5am, and Lexi followed at 6am. I decided to make an easy breakfast of oatmeal. Lexi and Matty enjoyed eating their oatmeal.

All was going well and they were getting along and then...

Lexi tried to steal some of Matty's,

and he wasn't giving any up without a scream.

Matt and Lexi were wound up before bed, so we decided to have them use up some of their energy and dance. They can be so funny and loving toward one another.

Matty's Haircut

Matty was trying to be patient this time.

"Mommy, where's my hair?"

Well I did it....I brought Matty to get his hair chopped. On his last haircut he was so impatient that his hair ended up with a million lengths. I decided that if he had it cut short it would grow in better. I must say it is growing on me!

Fun in the Sun!

Our friends are moving to Carson City, so we went to the park one last time before they move to enjoy the sun and some

ice pops. Matty and Lexi are going to miss our morning or late afternoon outings with Emily, Delaney and Elliot. Jeff is also going to miss watching sports with Dave.
