8th Night of Hanukkah

Yeah! The last night of Hanukkah is here! Auntie Suzy came over for dinner tonight and to spend time with Matty and Lexi. It was nice to have someone try and distract them from me while I was making dinner. After dinner we lit the menorah for the last time this year and opened our presents. Matty and Lexi love presents and get super excited for them. Tonight they opened some fingerpaint and a paint tablet. We all sat down for a night of fingerpainting fun. After we were done...Matty and Lexi chased each other around the house and burned off some energy. We thought we would get a nice amount of sleep from Matty, but unfortunately at 3 am he was up screaming for Mommy and he ended up spending the rest of the morning in our room- at least he slept a little more!

7th night of Hanukkah

We went to visit Matty and Lexi's Great-Grandparents after naptime. Lexi and Matty love their Nana and Papa so much! They loved all of the new things in their house and wanted to look at all the pictures. Every picture they had to stop and name off the people in them. It was super cute!

We went home to have dinner, light the menorah and open another night of gifts!

Matty and Lexi played with their new crayola wonder paint pens. I love this stuff- they have as much fun and NO clean-up- makes for an easy project so that we are not always making messes. I still love getting messy with them, but not all day, every day!

7th DAY of Hanukkah

We wanted to spend the day out of the house, but it was a little chilly so we decided to go to Chuck E Cheese. Matty and Lexi were not as into the little rides as they once had been. I think they are thrill seekers and prefer amusement park rides more! They attempted to play some games and had a fun time! It was really empty, which was nice so I was not worried about them running around and giving them a little of mommy-free space! After we left we ended up running a few errands and having a picinic lunch in the house.

6th night of Hanukkah!

For tonight's present Matty and Lexi got to decorate cookies that we baked. They had fun decorating them and while Lexi liked the frosting best, Matty preferred the m&m minis. It has been super cold here for Las Vegas. We went to the park today after breakfast but at 35 degrees we ended up leaving after about an hour. It has been a fun weekend so far because daddy has been home to have fun too!

5th night of Hanukkah

Matty and Lexi were exhausted today so we did an easy dinner and got ready for Hanukkah night. Both kids were up by 5am this morning and then had a big day. When they got up they were still groggy. Mommy was upstairs painting a wall with chalkboard paint, but as the crying and screaming for mommy continued she quickly hurried downstairs. They finally calmed down... we put on a Mickey Christmas movie and they were happy to see it and cuddle with mommy and daddy!

Tonight Matty lit the menorah and said the prayers.

It was a night of Play-dough for presents and then we all played it was fun!

Christmas Morning!

Santa came and brought Matty and Lexi some great toys! They had fun looking at the presents and we even left out some carrots for the Reindeer. It is amazing that Santa knew to bring them Donald Duck and Elmo things...

4th night of Hanukkah

Yes I know the candles went the wrong way...I don't know what I was thinking, it must be the kindergarten teacher in me trying to get the kids to read properly...whoops, at least Matty and Lexi are not old enough to correct me!
Tonight was the fourth night of Hanukkah! Matty and Lexi now have the hang of things and are totally excited when I say that it is time to light the menorah and open presents. Tonight Lexi helped mommy light the menorah! They opened their presents and loved their Donald Duck dolls and coloring/marker fun!

They love Donald Duck!

Mommy, open your eyes...this could have been a cute picture!

Snow in Vegas

Well it was quite extraordinary that it snowed in Las Vegas on Monday. It also stuck to the ground. It began and last night and they even canceled school today. (LAS VEGAS SNOW DAY) Unfortunately it is super sunny and it was a waste of a day.

Matty and Lexi did not like the snow. They liked the snowman, and they always say build snowman when they see snow, but were not amused by the cold. I guess they are just warm-blooded vegas toddlers.

Happy Halloween!!!!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
We had fun today!

We played outside all day and then after naptime we went to a Halloween Carnival- Matty and Lexi love rides and Bouncy houses!

Then we went trick-or-treating in the neighborhood! The kids had a blast and did a great job.

They went up to doors...knocked said trick or treat, grabbed handfuls of candy, and said thank you and bye, bye.

We made it around our whole neighborhood with heavy elmo baskets we headed home and called it a night after a safe piece of candy! Overall Mommy and Daddy were very impressed!

Haircuts

BEFORE

Matty needed a haircut, so we decided to get Lexi her first real haircut as well. She was very good in her seat and didn't squirm as much as Matty! Mommy shed a few tears because now she looks like such a little girl and not a baby anymore with those bangs. But still cute.

AFTER

Doesn't Matty look handsome in his new do.

They did so well that we picked up cupcakes for dessert!

Bonnie Springs

We went to Bonnie Springs on Saturday to feed the ducks, pet the animals and go on the litle train. Matty and Lexi had fun. Lexi couldn't wait to pet every animal, but Matty was not happy to pet the animals and was terrified as the animals moved closer. Matty preferred the caged animals, and Lexi liked petting the big ones. They both loved feeding the ducks and riding the train.
As we walked through the petting zoo, Matty and Lexi made the noises of the animals...

"TWo"gether fun!

Matty and Lexi have so much fun playing together. There is nothing more wonderful and being home with them all day long so that I can experience more time with them. Yeah we have our moments when someone is cranky, but overall they are such great kids...I am so lucky that they are in my life and couldn't ask for more.
Matty and Lexi were eating breakfast when Lexi broke out in hysterical laughter, and Matty was playing Peek a Boo, of course mommy had to grab for the camera! Too funny...their laughter is contagious and sometimes it is good to have a laugh!

Interactive Elmo

Matty and Lexi were very excited to get their new Interactive
Elmo dolls that granny Rona and Grandpa Danny got for
Them. They held their coupons and gave them to the sales
Clerk. They hugged the boxes and have been playing and
loving them ever since.

San Diego

We took our second trip to San Diego. This time we stayed in Ramona at Aunt Suzy’s house. Lexi had a few obstacles. On the way there, mommy noticed some blisters on Lexi’s hands and feet and we called the doctor’s office. They said it was a virus on its way out. The first night we were in San Diego we went to a fun park and out to dinner at Sizzler. Later that night, Lexi fell off the bed and hit her head. The next morning Mommy freaked out when she noticed all of the dried up blood and worked hard to clean it up.

We decided to try Lego Land. The kids loved it.They enjoyed the rides,
the playground and especially the water features. Whereas most kids jumped away from the water, Matty and Lexi stayed in the water and got soaked. We looked all over the park for additional clothes
to purchase, but decided against that idea, once we saw pants for $30.00. We went back a second day before we left.

Matty and Lexi are very much into fish now, so we thought the aquarium would be fun and it was. It is the perfect kid size aquarium. They loved the slide at the beginning and looking at all of the fish. They even got to touch some hermit crabs and star fish. Matty kept saying” Look Elmo fish.”

The San Diego Wild Animal Park was fun. Matty and Lexi enjoyed the animals, but their favorite part was feeding the ducks. They kept scraming for the “duckies” it was too cute and everyone that passed by giggled at them. Lexi fell asleep first on a tram ride after flipping out, and Matty fell asleep as soon as he sat in his stroller car after the tram ride. People looked and matty and were like “wow he’s out! It was a lot of fun.

Lollipops

Mommy was off from work,
so Mommy, Lexi and Matty
decided to have a lazy day at home.
Matty and Lexi had lollipops
For the first time and
Absolutely loved them.
They kept screaming
“More pop.”
Then we tried our new
Sesame Street computer
game. It was a nice
relaxing day at home.
Lexi and Matty now scream Lolli all day long...
